Colour, character, and playful imagination come together in an intimate chamber music experience at Government House. This vibrant program explores the wit, lyricism, and expressive variety of early 20th-century European music, beginning with Honegger’s serene Pastorale d’été and Poulenc’s charming Trio for oboe, bassoon, and piano, where elegance meets humour and virtuosity.

Martinu’s La Revue de Cuisine brings theatrical flair and rhythmic energy to the stage, while Reger’s Lyric Andante offers warmth and reflection. The program concludes with Zich’s richly textured Nonet (Czech Suite), blending folk-inspired colour with intricate ensemble writing in a celebration of musical imagination and collaboration.
