Accessibility
Government House has accessible parking spots, pathways (cement/sidewalks, compact gravel, natural ground), and automatic entrance doors. In the winter, it is only the main cement sidewalks/pathways that are cleared.

Government House is fully wheelchair accessible both indoors and outdoors year-round. Visitors who require mobility assistance can request one of our complimentary wheelchairs or walkers at the Welcome Desk.
All public washrooms at Government House include accessible stalls.
To further support accessibility for all visitors, Government House has partnered with several organizations:
- Through our partnership with the CNIB Foundation Saskatchewan, Government House is now enabled with BlindSquare, an app that helps visitors who are blind or partially sighted navigate the space more easily. Guide dogs are also welcome throughout the site.
- In collaboration with Variety Saskatchewan, we offer Sensory Backpacks that visitors can borrow during their visit.
Museums can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for children or visitors with sensory sensitivities. Our Sensory Backpacks include tools designed to support self-regulation, provide tactile input, and help with focus – making it easier for you and your child to enjoy your visit.
Please ask our staff at the Welcome Desk if you would like to borrow a Sensory Backpack.
