Halloween At Government House

Ghost Story Tours

October is a favourite month at Government House.

Ready for a fright? Join us October 24 and 25 for FREE ghost story tours at Government House! Visit if you dare and get into the Halloween spirit with some spooktacular tales!

We will be open from 6 - 9 p.m., offering tours on a First Come, First Served basis every20 minutes starting at 6 p.m. with the last tour at 8:20 p.m. Each tour will be approximately 40 minutes.

As the sun sets and darkness falls, hear about the eerie, mysterious happenings reported by former staff and visitors. From ghostly apparitions to unexplained sounds, Government House has its share of spine-tingling stories.

Don't miss out on this hair-raising experience, just a week before Halloween!

Please Note: This event is not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.

Tricks and Treats

Looking for a FREE family-friendly Halloween activity? Each year, Government House hosts the family friendly event "Tricks and Treats” on the last Sunday of October.

This year this magical event will be on October 27 from 1 – 4 p.m.

Halloween is the one time of year you can come as you aren't. Wear your brew-tifual costumes, bring your little princesses and monsters, and trick or treat throughout the museum.

Enjoy the magic show, have a spook-tacular family photo taken at the photo booth and listen to some ghost stories as author Judith Silverthorne reads from her book, The Ghosts of Government House!
