Victorian Christmas Traditions Tours
Thursdays, December 2, 9, and 16 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Tours will be every 30 minutes (last tour at 8:30pm).

Government House staff are finalizing preparations for Christmas in 1905, Amédée and Henriette may be away from the house but that doesn’t mean work can stop. Book a tour and hear how Government House is getting ready for the holiday season and hear how many Christmas traditions (such as Christmas trees, cards, crackers, etc.) originated.

Unable to make it?

Then why not visit virtually and experience the splendour of the season at Government House from your own home. This virtual Victorian Christmas Traditions vignette includes a tour of Government House's decorations and some holiday music played on our player piano. Join Amédée & Henriette Forget, their guest Eliza Parker and Mary, their maid as they finalize preparations for their 1905 Christmas celebrations. Go HERE to watch the video.
