Halloween Season

Here Before: An Interactive Séance Experience

Government House and Government House Historical Society invite you to an interactive new Halloween event this year...

Step through the doors of Government House and step back in time with Live History’s immersive production, Here Before. This is a theatrical performance with audience engagement as they attempt to solve challenges that move the story along.

The year is 1905. Saskatchewan is on the cusp of becoming a province, and you are no mere spectator—you will take on the role of a real historical figure, drawn into an evening of laughter, conversation, and celebration. Join in parlour games, mingle with fellow guests of another century, and feel the excitement of the night.

But amid the revelry lies mystery. The evening’s centerpiece is a visiting psychic medium—rumoured to have ties to the world beyond. Will their visions bring comfort, delight, or a chill you cannot shake? What truths—or terrors—might they reveal?

When the celebration draws to a close and you return to the present, you will leave with the uncanny sensation that you have indeed been Here Before.

Please note: This is a fictional audience-interactive performance where guests are welcome to and encouraged to dress in period costumes.

There are two performances of Here Before taking place on October 18, 2025.
