Government House Historical Society is pleased to offer sessions on canning and preserving three of Saskatchewan’s most notable garden produce, raspberries, carrots, and tomatoes.
The Tomato features in our third and final session:
You say tomaTOE, I say tomAtoe. This highly flavourful fruit is packed with Vitamins A & C. It’s so high in potassium, that a cup of tomato juice is one of the quickest ways to restore electrolytes following heat or sunstroke. In this class, we learn to preserve the flavour and colour of this tasty fruit and introduce participants to one of the tastiest ways to warm your insides.
If interested please go to the Government House Historical Society website for more information.
